SyncWith for ChatGPT

Set up SyncWith in ChatGPT and send your first prompt. Tools, data handling and account details are in the SyncWith MCP docs.

Connect it

Add it as a custom MCP server. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, select Add, then Add custom MCP server:

  1. Enter a name, for example “SyncWith”. The description is optional.
  2. Under Connection, paste the server URL:
    https://mcp.syncwith.com/mcp
  3. Set Authentication to OAuth.
  4. Review the risk warning and select I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.

ChatGPT then asks you to sign in with Google — see Account and plan.

Tips for ChatGPT

Choose when ChatGPT asks. The plugin’s Permission setting decides when ChatGPT checks with you before an action, like a live query. Change it from ⋯ next to SyncWith on the Plugins page, then Manage. See reads and actions.

Free plan works. Custom MCP servers are available on ChatGPT’s Free plan, not just paid ones.

Disconnecting

On the Plugins page, select ⋯ next to SyncWith, then Uninstall. ChatGPT stops using it straight away.

For how long access lasts afterwards and how to revoke it sooner, see Disconnecting in the SyncWith MCP docs.

Troubleshooting

  • ChatGPT can’t add the server? Use the full server URL, including the /mcp path, and choose OAuth for authentication.
  • No option to add a custom server? If you don’t see Add custom MCP server in a work or school workspace, check whether your workspace allows them.
  • Tools look out of date? Select ⋯ next to SyncWith on the Plugins page, then Manage and Refresh tools.

Account, report and quota issues apply to every assistant — see general troubleshooting.
